Lucknow, June 25: On the fourth day of her surprise inspection of various developmental works in the state, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati suspended 11 officials, including a chief development officer for 'laxity' and ordered awarding of adverse entry in the character roles of the district Magistrate of Mathura. The Chief Minister today visited Etah, Mainpuri, Agra, Mathura and Ferozabad districts and inspected development work at Ambedkar villages, official sources here said.
The maximum number of officials (seven) were suspended in Etah district, they said. The Chief Minister directed the officials to ensure the grievance of the common people were redressed on priority basis and warned that laxity would not be tolerated at any cost. Bureau Report
