New york, June 19: Electronics retailer Best Buy Co. Inc. said on Wednesday it is warning consumers about a deceptive e-mail message that claims to come from the BestBuy.com fraud department. The message requests personal information from customers and is titled "Fraud Alert," Best Buy said.

"This message is not from Best Buy," the company said in a statement, adding that it is "working with appropriate authorities to quickly contain and resolve the situation".
Best Buy, which said it became aware of the problem Wednesday afternoon, said it is alerting customers to contact their banks or credit card companies immediately if they have replied to the e-mail in any way. Bureau Report
