New Delhi: On the occasion of World Water Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday highlighted the importance of 'Jal Shakti' and said that people should reaffirm their commitment towards water conservation.
"When water is conserved, our cities, villages and hardworking farmers benefit tremendously," Modi said via a video on Twitter.

Every year on March 22, World Water Day is observed worldwide to highlight the importance of freshwater and sustainable management of freshwater resources. The theme for this year is 'Nature for Water'.
