London: British Prime Minister Theresa May said on Friday that the Brexit deal is in everyone's interests in a key speech delivered in Italy's Florence.
The success of negotiations between Britain and the EU on Brexit is "in all our interests", the British Prime Minister said.
"If we were to fail or be divided, the only beneficiaries would be those who oppose our values," she said.
Terming Brexit as a 'defining moment' in the history of United Kingdom, May proposed a two-year transition period after Brexit.
May further said that she wanted British courts to "take into account" European Court of Justice decisions when ruling on the rights of EU citizens living in Britain.
"I want the UK courts to be able to take into account the judgments of the European Court of Justice," she said, after EU officials said the ECJ should retain jurisdiction over EU citizens.
