MTV earned record ratings Sunday by making a ``Jackass`` out of its primetime lineup.
Sunday evening`s lineup, which debuted the prior week and has been dubbed by the network Jackass Sunday, drew an average 1.4 million 12- to 34-year-olds -- MTV`s target demo -- from 7 to 11 p.m. That`s the highest-rated Sunday among that category in the network`s history. The new half-hour comedy show ``Jackass`` led the lineup`s performers, bringing in 2.4 million 12- to 34-year-olds. The Jackass Sunday programming block begins with ``WWF Sunday Night Heat`` from 7-8 p.m., followed by ``Celebrity Deathmatch,`` ``Senseless Acts of Video`` and ``Jackass,`` which, according to the network, features ``silly pranks and ridiculous stunts performed by total jackasses.`` An MTV rock concert series wraps up the block.
