The actress, who had played the titular role in the first two seasons of super-hit fiction show Naagin is gearing up for her Bollywood debut. Yes, the stunning diva will share screen space with Akshay Kumar in Reema Kagti’s film Gold which is based on the life of a sportsman who a part of the Hockey Team that won the Olympic medal for India post independence for the first time at the Games of the XIV Olympiad, London in 1948.

While sharing the poster of the film in September last year, Mouni wrote: “Here's presenting the first poster of Gold. So very Happy to be a part of this dreamteam & here s wishing Akshay Sir the happiest most prosperous journey ahead. Love & regards #AkshayTurnsGold (sic).”

Also starring Kunal Kapoor, Amit Sadh, Vineet Singh and Sunny Kaushal, Gold is slated to release on Independence Day this year.

And now that Mouni has entered Bollywood, it will be interesting to see what kind of films she chooses. She has already wowed us by her acting skills and we know that she is a terrific dancer. We would certainly like to see more of Mouni in Bollywood too.
