New Delhi: Parents are nasty. They want their sons and daughters to be the best, and at times, they don't hesitate to take the matters at their own hands. Yes, that's what happened in Spain, when children were engaged in their national pride, football.

Couple of videos emerged with parents fighting at children football matches in Spain. Both the vidoes became viral, and in fact, they forced police to open probes.


The first video captured a brawl broke out on March 19 – when Spain celebrate Father's Day – at a match involving 12- and 13-year-olds on the Mediterranean island of Mallorca. It ended wqith parents trading blows.

Another video that emerged earlier this year showed two fathers squaring off at a stadium on the island of Gran Canaria.


One of the men was admitted to hospital and had to have eye surgery, according to sports daily Marca.

These videos have outraged Spaniards and thrown a spotlight on the responsibility of clubs for the behaviour of their young players' parents.
