The PM was in Gandhinagar yesterday to inaugurate the 52nd Annual Meetings of the African Development Bank.

After the event, PM Modi, “who was running far behind his schedule”, spotted an ambulance on Gandhinagar-Ahmedabad road, reported DeshGujarat.

Setting aside the security protocol, the PM directed his convoy to shift to a side lane and stop.

“The ambulance was given priority to move ahead,” reported the news portal based in Gujarat.

Last month, the PM took a decision that VIP vehicles should do away with red beacons, saying: "Every Indian is a VIP".
