New Delhi: 'Papa's Angel' Honeypreet Insan, who has run out of all options, is likely to surrender before the Punjab and Haryana High Court on Thursday.
Honeypreet's lawyer Pradeep Kumar Arya said that he has asked her to surrender before the court. "I told the person I was talking to on the phone to surrender herself," Arya told Zee News.
The report on Honeypreet's surrender comes after the Delhi High Court dismissed her anticipatory bail plea on Tuesday.
Justice Sangita Dhingra Sehgal while pronouncing the order on her bail plea on September 26 had observed that the applicant was just seeking more time by moving such a plea.
The court also questioned Honeypreet for filing an anticipatory bail there as she is a permanent resident of Haryana. "The easiest way out is that you surrender," Justice Sehgal said while asking why the 36-year-old woman was seeking transit anticipatory bail for three weeks.
The Haryana Police has intensified its manhunt to trace her and recently conducted multiple raids across the national capital in search of her.
Honeypreet tops the 43-member list released by the Haryana Police for triggering mob violence and riots in Panchkula and Sirsa.
