New Delhi: By analysing alcohol consumption, tobacco use and obesity prevalence across 179 countries around the world, the Czech Republic is named the most unhealthy country in the world, says a study.

The research conducted by Clinic Compare, which gathered their data from the World Health Organisation, says that the people of Czech Republic have come out as the biggest boozers in the world, which has pushed them in getting the tag of the least healthy country in the world.


Reportedly, an individual consumes 13.7 litres of alcohol per annum and they have also emerged as the 11th highest for tobacco consumption.

The UK came 19th in the list, with Britons also being the 9th heaviest drinkers in the world.


Eastern Europe came out as the unhealthiest region in the world, occupying nine out of the top 10 spots.
