New Delhi: One should not take stress as it is not good for health and have plenty of side effects. It can also effect our skin in the form of infections like rashes and breakouts.


Acne


Acne is often caused when stressed out as our body releases the hormone cortisol which increases sebum or oil production by sebaceous glands.


Rosacea


One of the most common triggers that causes rosacea flare-ups is stress. Other factors like hot and spicy foods, extreme temperatures and strenuous exercise can also cause this skin problem.


Dry skin


When you are stressed, the hormones released causes blood vessels to constrict, leading to poor circulation which decreases blood supply to the skin, leaving it dry.


Dark circles


If you do not get enough sleep due to stress then you get dark circles. Even the blood circulation to the face is less which leaves your face looking drained, making the dark circles more noticeable.
