Fitness experts have revealed that crawling your way to health might actually be a thing and is, in fact, being taken up as a trend across the world.


The practice has proved to be extremely effective for people who have tried it, since it helps in building up core strength and maintaining posture.


Because it engages the entire body and improves balance, coordination, strength and agility, crawling has started featuring on the top of the list of many fitness guru's.


As per research, it also helps maintain healthy blood pressure level and is beneficial for the spine.


According to the Times of India, crawling is also an integral part of the workout routine for parkour enthusiasts. Experts say parkour has involved quadrupedal locomotion patterns, or crawling drills, since its inception.


After speaking to health experts, DNA explained the correct way to crawl. If you want to give it a try, you should keep a few things in mind. When on your hands and knees, place your wrists under shoulders and knees under hips. Keep your back flat and straight. Lift your knees about two inches off the ground. Start crawling by moving your opposite hand and foot just two to three inches forward while keeping your knee off the ground and your back level – repeat with your other hand and foot, DNA wrote.
