New Delhi: Who doesn't like to eat grapes? Well, everyone does and it is considered good for our health as well. Besides eating the fruit, one can also drink its juice as it is rich in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants that provides benefits to our body.

Boosts immunity


One should consume a glass of grape juice daily as it boosts our immunity and also increases the vitamin C levels in our body. According to a study published in Journal of Medicinal Food, a glass of purple grape juice helped improve immunity in middle-aged people.


Prevents blockage in heart


Drinking grape juice helps in preventing blockages in the heart by reducing platelet activity, as mentioned in a study published in Journal of Nutrition.


Improves metabolism


Consuming a glass of red grape juice also helps in improving the metabolism in our body. A study published in Molecular Nutrition and Food Research journal stated that urine samples collected from people who had red grape juice was less acidic compared to people who had other juices or a placebo.


Maintains blood pressure


A glass of grape juice helps in controlling the blood pressure because of the flavonoids and antioxidants present in the fruit. Grape extracts also help the heart muscles to relax, improves blood flow and hence keeps fluctuating blood pressure in check.
