Prem Kumar Dhumal vs Rajender Rana in Sujanpur – Live updates

Bhartiya Janata Party's Chief Ministerial candidate Prem Kumar Dhumal is trailing Rajender Rana in Sujanpur constituency of Himachal Pradesh. 

A veteran leader of the party in the state, Dhumal shifted from Hamirpur to Sujanpur Assembly constituency and faced his old protege-turned-bete noir Rana of the Congress. Sujanpur is Rana's home turf and he put in his all to put up a stiff challenge.

Rana had fought as an independent candidate in the state elections in 2012 and had defeated Congress' Anita Verma by 14,155 votes in a constituency where women outnumber men by 2200 votes. 

While some felt Rana has the potential to take on Dhumal, most agreed that the former Chief Minister will overpower and prevail.
