New Delhi: The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) on Tuesday issues an avalanche warning for next 24 hours for Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
"The most likely affected area with danger level-3 are Baramulla, Bandipora and Kupwara (Kashmir division) and with danger level- are Kargil (Laddakh division), Chamba, Lahaul-Spiti, Kullu (HP), Uttarkashi and Chamoli (Uttarakhand)," they tweeted.

On Monday too, the authorities had issued a low danger avalanche warning for high altitude areas of J&K. "On the basis of information received from SASE, low danger avalanche warning has been issued for high altitude areas," an official spokesman had said, as per PTI.
He had added that the warning had been issued for Baramulla, Gulmarg, Furkian-Z Gali, Kupwara, Chowkibal-Tangdhar, Anantnag, Kulgam, Budgam, Bandipora, Ganderbal and Kanzalwan-Gurez in Kashmir.
Poonch, Rajouri, Reasi, Ramban, Doda, Kishtwar and Udhampur in Jammu region and Kargil and Leh districts of Ladakh and Srinagar-Jammu national highway was also covered under the low danger avalanche threat, the spokesman had said.
He had added that people living in the avalanche-prone areas had been advised to take precautionary measures.
