5.5 Magnitude Earthquake Jolts Kargil; Aftershock felt

An earthquake of magnitude 5.5 jolted the Kargil region followed by an aftershock of 3.8 magnitude.

New Delhi: An earthquake of Magnitude 5.5 jolted the Kargil region of Ladakh on Monday and tremors were felt in Jammu and Kashmir. Reportedly the tremors were also felt in Chandigarh. Following the earthquake, aftershocks of a magnitude of 3.8 was felt in the region.

Following the earthquake in Kargil, an earthquake of Magnitude 3.6 jolted the Kishtwar region of Jammu and Kashmir.
