New Delhi: The JEE Main Result 2017, CBSE JEE Result 2017, Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2017 Result were declared by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Thursday.

The candidates can check their results on official websites jeemain.nic.in and cbseresults.nic.in

JEE Mains 2017 exam results are used to shortlist candidates who want to join the IITs and other top engineering colleges.

The CBSE on April 18 released the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2017 scanned images of OMR answer sheets of the candidates with their recorded responses and answer keys.

How to check JEE Main 2017 results:

-Visit any of the the official websites

-Click on the link ‘JEE Main 2017 Results’

- Enter application number, date of birth and name

- Click on submit

- Your results will be displayed on the screen. Take a print out and save for future reference.

The JEE scores form the basis of admission into NITs, IIITs, other centrally funded technical Institutions.

Candidates who clear the JEE Main examination are eligible to sit for the JEE advanced for admission in IITs.

HRD Ministry notifies following changes in the JEE pattern for 2017:

1. There shall be no weightage for the 12th class marks in calculating the ranks in the JEE (Main) examination,

2. For the candidates to qualify for the admission in the IITs/NITs/IIITs and such other CFTIs whose admissions are based on the JEE (Advanced)/JEE(Main) ranks, they should have secured at least 75 percent marks in the 12th class examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class examination conducted by the respective Boards. For SC/ST students the qualifying marks would be 65 percent in the 12th class examination.

The States of Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Uttrakhand, Nagaland, Odisha and some other institutions have joined JEE (Main) system, however, their admission criteria will be notified by the concerned authorities. Therefore, the candidates seeking admission to the institutions in these states, which were earlier admitting based on their State level examination, are also advised to fill in the JEE (Main)–2017 application form online. The Paper-1 (B. E./B. Tech.) of JEE (Main) will also be an eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced), which the candidate has to take if he/she is aspiring for admission to the undergraduate programmes offered by the IITs.

Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main 2016 Results

Nearly 12 lakh candidates had taken this exam of which 19,820 have qualified for the JEE (Advanced) Online while 1,78,408 candidates have qualified for the JEE (Advanced) offline test.

Nearly 40,000 girls have qualified for the JEE (Advanced) test while the rest are boys, according to data released by CBSE.
