AHMEDABAD: As Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh considers withdrawing cases related to 2013 riots in Muzaffarnagar, Hardik Patel launched a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Taking to Twitter, the 24-year-old Patidar leader from Gujarat questioned how can the state government try to withdraw cases against the "accused" party members. He further added that if professional goons join BJP by the end of the day, they can't be termed goons. “The country is not being run by the Constitution, it's being run by BJP leaders,” he tweeted.

In a second tweet, the Patidar leader said, “In these times of BJP, it is important for everyone to know the laws. What is our right, what is the constitution and what are the laws in the interest of the common citizens. During BJP-raj, a false case might be imposed, or a right case may be withdrawn. It's all very shocking.”

Recently, reports of Yogi Adityanath government considering to withdraw cases again party leaders accused in the 2013 Muzaffarnagar riots emerged. Nearly 60 people were killed and at least 40,000 displaced during communal clashes in Muzaffarnagar and Shamli in August 2013.
Some of the BJP leaders booked in the riots cases are party leader Sadhvi Prachi, Bijnor MP Bhartendu Singh, state Cane Development Minister Suresh Rana and Budhana MLA Umesh Malik.
On Monday, Patel took a swipe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Arthshastri aise sujav nahi deta!!!," (Only a tea seller can suggest to unemployed youth to sell snacks, an economist would not do that)," Patel said in a tweet today.
His tweet came a day after PM Modi told Zee News, “If someone opens a 'pakoda' shop in front of your office, does that not count at employment? The person's daily earning of Rs 200 will never come into any books or accounts. The truth is massive people are being employed.”
