Delhi: Parents' consent for offline classes and exams of 10 &12 not mandatory

New Delhi: Delhi government on Tuesday (March 1) announced that the consent of parents of students of classes 10 and 12 will not be mandatory to attend offline classes/exams.

The government also allowed the schools to deploy transportation facilities for students while following the Covid-19 behaviour.

However, the hybrid model of classes will be followed for classes 1 to 9 and 11 till March 31, 2022. The government allowed the schools to operate all the classes in offline mode from April 1, 2022.

Meanwhile. Delhi on Monday (February 28) reported 258 fresh COVID-19 cases and zero death, while the positivity rate stood at 0.71%, according to data shared by the city health department. The zero Covid fatality count in a day, recorded in the city, comes after a gap of nearly two months.

With 258 fresh cases, the national capital's case count increased to 18,59,892. The death toll stood at 26,122, the latest health bulletin stated.
