Earthquake of magnitude 4.5 hits Ladakh

An earthquake of magnitude 4.5 hit Ladakh on Friday evening at a depth of 25 kilometres. The tremors were felt at 8.15 pm.

The Himalaya region is highly prone to earthquakes. 

In the last week, several states across the country experienced tremors of low to medium intensity.
