The investigators added that they have found letterheads of Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jammat-ud-Dawa, Hizbul Mujahideen and other terrorist organisations after the raids at seven locations in Srinagar last month.

Talking to IANS an NIA officer said that Mirwaiz Farooq, the Chairman Awami Action Committee, and some other senior separatist leaders are likely to face action soon in the terror funding case.

Asked about the names of those separatist leaders, the officer, who preferred to remain anonymous, said Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front, Yasin Malik, and Sayeed Ali Shah Geelani's son Naseem Geelani are also on the NIA list. It is to be noted that summons were issued by the agency on March 9 asking them to visit the NIA headquarters for questioning.

Other separatist leaders who are likely to face NIA's action are Mohammad Ashraf Khan, Chairman Tehreek-e-Hurriyat, Masarat Alam, General Secretary, All Party Hurriyat Conference, and Zaffar Akbar Bhat, Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement, IANS reported.

The official added that during the raid some property papers, financial transactions receipts, bank account details and electronic devices including laptops, e-tablets, mobile phones, pen drives, communication system and digital video recorders were also recovered by NIA. He noted that these evidence prove that Farooq and other separatist leaders were taking orders from Pakistan-based terror groups and were involved in "anti-national operations".

The raids were conducted on February 26 at the homes of suspected separatist leaders including Shabbir Shah, President of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party.

In January last year, the NIA had filed chargesheet against Lashkar-e-Taiba founder Hafiz Saeed, Hizbul Mujahideen chief Syed Salahuddin, seven Kashmiri separatist leaders and others.

The NIA had arrested separatist leaders Aftab Hilali Shah alias Shahid-ul-Islam, Ayaz Akbar Khandey, Farooq Ahmad Dar alias Bitta Karate, Nayeem Khan, Altaf Ahmad Shah, Raja Mehrajuddin Kalwal and Bashir Ahmad Bhat alias Peer Saifullah on July 24, 2017 in connection with this case.
