In yet another shocking incident, a woman was set ablaze by her husband in Telangana`s Hyderabad, for not securing a seat in the medical entrance.
New Delhi: In yet another shocking incident, a woman was allegedly burnt to death by her software-engineer husband in Telangana's Hyderabad, for not securing a seat in the medical entrance.
The deceased, identified as Harika, got admission in Bachelors of Dental Surgery (BDS) this year but failed to qualify for MBBS.
Harika's parents had filed a FIR at the LB Nagar police station, alleging that their son-in-law Rishi Kumar had burnt their daughter alive for not securing a seat in the medical entrance, ANI reported. "The family also accused Kumar of continuously harassing their daughter for the additional dowry", said police.
However, the accused has denied all the allegations and claimed that Harika committed suicide.
The body has been sent for the autopsy and the case has been registered under section 304(B) and 302 IPC.
