New Delhi: In a huge setback for the Narendra Modi-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA), the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) on Friday decided to quit the ruling alliance headed by BJP at the Centre. The decision was taken unanimously by the party politburo this morning. Jagan Reddy-led YSR Congress and AIMIM today pledged to support the no-confidence motion against the Modi government. The Bharatiya Janata Party and the TDP had been treading on a thin line after the Narendra Modi government did not allocate additional funds for Andhra Pradesh. In view of the protest by the TDP lawmakers and the ruckus created by TRS MPs, Lok Sabha was adjourned till Monday by Speaker Sumitra Mahajan.
