Rahul Gandhi’s Twitter account temporarily suspended, says Congress

New Delhi: "Rahul Gandhi's Twitter account has been temporarily suspended and due process is being followed for its restoration", Congress wrote on Twitter. The party added, "Until then, he will stay connected with you all through his other SM platforms and continue to raise his voice for our people and fight for their cause."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to wrestler Bajrang Punia and congratulated him on winning Bronze medal at Tokyo Olympics. 

Heavy rains lashed several parts of Delhi in the early hours of Saturday. Heavy downpour was witnessed in the Janpath and Connaught Place areas of Delhi.

Additionally, Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with beneficiaries of PM-GKAY in Madhya Pradesh where he informed that over 80 crore citizens were provided free ration during COVID-19 pandemic. Be it Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Ann Yojana or Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Rozgar Yojana, we thought about the food & employment of the poor from the first day itself."

PM Modi also urged the citizens of the country to buy handicraft items during festival season. "Indians should buy handicraft items during festival season to encourage people in this sector," said PM Narendra Modi.

President Ram Nath Kovind hosted a high tea at the Rashtrapati Bhavan for the Union council of ministers today. The Rashtrapati Bhavan described it as a courtesy meeting.

In other developments, Bihar eased the COVID-19 restrictions further. Even schools for Classes 9 to 12 along with colleges and coaching institutions reopened from today.
