Supreme Court refuses to defer Tripura civic polls

NEW DELHI: Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday said that his party will improve the situation in Punjab govt schools just like they did in Delhi. The AAP chief also said that he will resolve all issues of teachers on an urgent basis if his party wins assembly polls in Punjab.  

Bihar's ruling JD(U) will hold massive celebrations at 40 locations, including Patna, to celebrate the 15 years of governance of CM Nitish Kumar on 24th November. CM and the government's 'report card' in these 15 years will be presented on all platforms, the party said.

India on Tuesday reported 7,579 new COVID-19 cases (lowest in 543 days), 12,202 recoveries and 236 deaths in the last 24 hours, according to Union Health Ministry. Active cases stand at 1,13,584 - lowest in 536 days (account for less than 1% of total cases, currently at 0.33% - lowest since March 2020). Also, Congress leader Kirti Azad is likely to join TMC in Delhi today, say sources.

Meanwhile, Mumbai Crime Branch's Cyber Cell has arrested a man from Bharatpur, Rajasthan who was blackmailing a Shiv Sena MLA in Mumbai by trapping him in a sextortion case. He had posed as a woman, made a woman speak with the MLA and then sent him his morphed obscene video, demanding Rs 50,000.
