"The issue of notification will be on Nov 7 and will end on Nov 14. The last date of withdrawal of candidature is Nov 19. Voting for the polls will be on December 04 and the results will be announced on December 07", Vijay Dev, Delhi State Election Commissioner announced during the press conference.
SEC reserves 104 seats for women, 21 out of them for SC women

Delhi MCD polls: BJP not to repeat outgoing councilors on 60-70% seats
The Delhi BJP on Friday hinted at not repeating its outgoing councilors on at least 60-70 per cent of the wards. Several Delhi BJP leaders said the reports that the party will replace all its sitting councilors with new faces was technically incorrect.
New Delhi: The dates for the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) elections are likely to be announced on Friday evening. The State Election Commission has called a press conference at 4 p.m. in this regard. According to sources, the elections are expected to be held in the first week of December. The model code of conduct will also come into force from the day the poll dates are declared, said sources. The State EC has reserved and delimited the wards.
Before delimitation, the MCD had 272 wards which have now been reduced to 250, wherein the polls will be held. The EC has appointed Returning Officers and has taken the objections and suggestions of the public as well as political parties into consideration, by setting up polling booths at the ward level. The three major contestants -- the BJP, the AAP and the Congress -- have started working on their strategies and candidate selection for the polls to 250 wards of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD).
