Mumbai: Forecast gives hope, no more heavy rains likely

For the second time in the span of a month, heavy rains lashed India`s financial hub Mumbai on Tuesday, paralysing the entire city and flooding low-lying areas. The downpour will continue on Wednesday, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) Mumbai predicting heavy rainfall in few places.

The Mumbai Police tweeted about high tide at 12.03 pm and a low tide at 06.04 pm on Wednesday.

Schools and colleges remain closed.

Last month, a deluge in Mumbai last month killed 14 people, wrecked homes and caused chaos in the city of 20 million people.
