PM's Uttarakhand visit: Narendra Modi visits Kedarnath, Badrinath

Prime Minister Narendra Modi began his Uttarakhand visit by offering prayers at the famous Kedarnath temple shrine on October 21. He also visited the Adi Guru Shankaracharya's Samadhi Sthal in Kedarnath and offered prayers there.

NEW DELHI/DEHRADUN: Prime Minister Narendra Modi began his Uttarakhand visit by offering prayers at the famous Kedarnath temple shrine on Friday (October 21).He also visited the Adi Guru Shankaracharya's Samadhi Sthal in Kedarnath and offered prayers there. Then arrived in Badrinath and offered prayers. PM Modi was wearing a traditional dress while offering prayers at the holy shrine. State's CM Pushkar Singh Dhami and Governor Lt Gen (Retd) Gurmeet Singh are accompanying him. The PM later inspected various ongoing development works and also laid the foundation stones for some new projects in the Chamoli district. In view of his visit, security arrangements have been tightened in the area. Both Kedarnath and Badrinath temples have been fully decorated with many quintals of flowers.

The Prime Minister arrived in Kedarnath around 8.30 AM in the morning and then went for a ''darshan'' of Baba Kedar. Later in the evening, the PM will lay the foundation stone of the 9.7 km long Gaurikund-Kedarnath ropeway project. This was all for the live updates of PM Narendra Modi's Uttarkhand visit.
