Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday (December 11) inaugurated various developmental projects in Maharashtra, and flagged off the new Vande Bharat Express from Nagpur Railway station. India's sixth Vande Bharat Express will run between Nagpur and Bilaspur. Modi also took a ride in Nagpur Metro from Freedom Park Metro station to Khapri Metro Station.
He also dedicated ‘Nagpur Metro Phase I’ to the nation and laid the foundation stone of ‘Nagpur Metro phase- II’.

PM Modi also inaugurated Phase - I of Hindu Hrudaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg connecting Nagpur and Shirdi and undertook a tour of the highway. He also inaugurated AIIMS Nagpur.
In a public function in Nagpur, PM Modi laid the foundation stone and dedicated to the nation rail projects worth more than Rs 1,500 crores. He also laid the foundation stone of the National Institute of One Health (NIO), Nagpur, and the Nag river pollution abatement project, Nagpur.
During the program, Prime Minister also dedicated the ‘Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET), Chandrapur’ to the nation and inaugurated the ‘Centre for Research, Management and Control of Hemoglobinopathies, Chandrapur’.
Later in the day, he is scheduled to visit Goa to address the valedictory function of the 9th World Ayurveda Congress. He will then inaugurate the Mopa International Airport in Goa.

In Goa, PM Modi inaugurated the inaugurated Manohar International Airport, Mopa in Goa. Its foundation stone was laid by PM in November 2016. This will be the second airport in Goa, the first one being located at Dabolim.
PM also 3 National AYUSH Institutes - All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA), Goa, National Institute of Unani Medicine (NIUM), Ghaziabad and National Institute of Homeopathy (NIH), Delhi, in Panaji, Goa.
