Pakistan exposed: Arrested JuD operative reveals ISI's direct role in terror camps

In a video released by WION, Abu Hamas confessed and vividly describes how jobless youth were radicalised.

NEW DELHI: Police on Friday apprehended a Jama'at-ud-Da'wah (JuD)-linked terrorist Mohamad Amir also known as Abu Hamas who revealed how he was being trained by the leaders of terrorist outfits, supervised by ISI officers.

In a video released by WION, Abu Hamas confesses and vividly describes how jobless youth were radicalised.

"I have seen men who look like soldiers coming at our training camps on many occasions. They also used to come in civil dresses. They were ISI men. They used to come and guide our trainer. We were shown videos about 'Kashmir Azadi'," said Abu Hamas.

He further said, "We were trained in GPS maps and were taught how to handle arms and ammunition. At the end of the training, we were asked to fire several rounds."

18-year-old Aamir reportedly hails from Karachi and his father is a retired policeman.

Aamir is said to be a "master of small arms fire". Intelligence agencies believe Aamir is part of "22 anti-India terrorist squads" belonging to Jamat's front organization the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).

Hamas was trained by Jamat for fifteen days at Nuriya Bad, near Karachi. His confession also exposed that there were fifteen more Pakistani men who were trained along with him. Those men belong to various other parts of the country.

Hamas was interrogated by Indian police and intelligence authorities at an undisclosed location.
