Patient dies in ambulance as lack of fuel delays movement in Rajasthan's Banswara

Relatives of the patient were seen pushing the ambulance after there was no fuel left in the life-saving vehicle.

New Delhi:  A patient in Rajasthan's Banswara died on the way to the hospital in the ambulance on Saturday (November 26). The patient died allegedly due to the delay in the movement caused by the lack of fuel in the ambulance. According to the ANI report, the relatives were seen pushing the ambulance to save the life of the patient.

Meanwhile, CMHO Banswara initiated the inquiry in the matter to find out about the negligence. CMHO further said that the 108 is run by private agency and they are responsible for the maintenance of ambulances.

"We came to know about the incident and have initiated the  We'll meet victim's relatives and find out about the negligence. 108 is being run by private agency. They have the responsibility for the maintenance of ambulances. Probe is underway," CMHO Banswara told ANI.

Reacting to the incident state minister PS Khachariyawas told ANI that if the patient died due to the lack of the fuel in the ambulance then it is the failure of management and not the system. He promised stringent action against the responsible authorities.
