New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday (December 30) laid the foundation of 23 development projects in poll-bound Uttarakhand's Haldwani. The projects will be built at a cost of Rs 17,500 crores.

Addressing the gathering after the cermony, PM Modi said, "These inaugurated development projects will give better connectivity and better health to the people of Haldwani."
"We're also bringing a Rs 2,000 crore scheme for the development of the overall infrastructure of Haldwani, for water, sewage, road, parking, street lights, Modi added.
Modi also targetted the opoosition parties for not doing enough for the state and spreading rumours.
"Now that the public knows their (Opposition) truth, these people have started a new business of rumours, by manufacturing, spreading, and then screaming about it. These Uttarakhand rebels are spread," siad Modi.,
Earlier this month, Modi, who has been on a campaigning spree in Uttarakhand, launched developement projects of Rs 18,000 crore in Dehradun. He also announced to complete the Rs 12,000-crore Char Dham All Weather Road project and emphasized that infrastructural development in the hill state will give an impetus to tourism and boost the connectivity of neighbouring areas as well.
