"This dangal makes BJP Mangal," he said.

Asserting that the people of Uttar Pradesh are least bothered about the ongoing feud in the Samajwadi Party camp, Naqvi further said they just want answers from the Akhilesh Yadav-led government over the work done in the last five years.

"The public wants answers from the government with regard to corruption, crime and misgovernance in the last five years," he added.

Naqvi`s reaction came as Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav was today unanimously elected Samajwadi Party`s national president replacing his father and party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav.

A resolution to this effect was presented by party general secretary Ram Gopal Yadav in the party`s national convention in Lucknow which was passed with a voice vote.

In another resolution, Akhilesh`s uncle Shivpal Yadav was removed from the post of state party chief and Amar Singh was expelled from the party with immediate effect.

Mulayam, however, termed the convention as totally unconstitutional. In a letter issued by the party head-quarters, Mulayam said strict action will be taken against those who attended the convention.

The convention was held a day after Akhilesh and Ram Gopal were reinstated into the party following their expulsion for six years.

Meanwhile, Mulayam expelled party vice-president Kiranmoy Nanda and senior leader Naresh Aggarwal from the party.
