Bomb threat was received via email at the ISKCON temple in Tirupati on Sunday. Temple authorities filed a complaint with the police after the email claimed that ISIS terrorists planned to blow up the temple.
According to the reports, the temple administration registered a complaint with the authorities immediately and police initiated immediate action and conducted searches.
"We reacted swiftly when we received complaints and our teams conducted thorough checks. But they (fake email threats) turned out to be fake. We are booking cases and investigations into these are going on," said, Superintendent of Police Tirupati L Subbarayudu, India TV reported.
Earlier on October 25, three hotels in Andhra Pradesh received bomb threat alerts via email.
According to the ANI reports, Tirupati East Police Station Circle Inspector Srinivasulu said, "Three hotels received bomb threat alerts. An FIR has been registered regarding the email, and the case is being investigated from various angles. We will soon trace the culprits, and those behind the email will be identified after the investigation is completed."
