Srinagar: The Srinagar-Jammu national highway which remained closed for four days due to landslide triggered by rain and snowfall reopened on Sunday for one-way traffic.
The national highway, which connects the Kashmir Valley with the rest of the country, had to be closed as landslides, shooting stones and debris blocked the road at several places.
"The highway reopened for traffic today after the road was cleared of the muck," a traffic police official said.
One-way Jammu-Srinagar traffic was allowed today while Srinagar-Jammu traffic will be allowed tomorrow morning subjected to weather and road conditions, the official said.
