Jamshedpur: Two ultras including a woman cadre belonging to "People's Liberation Front of India" (PLFI) were killed in an encounter with security forces at Bandu in West Singhbhum district on Tuesday, police said.
The encounter took place when the security personnel comprising of CRPF and District Armed Police were on anti-naxal operation in the bordering area of West Singhbhum and Khunti districts, police said.
The PLFI ultras fired at the security personnel who returned the fire and in the ensuing encounter two PLFI cadres including a woman were killed in the encounter that last for half an hour, Superintendent of Police, Anish Gupta said.
Gupta said the bodies of the two ultras have been recovered.
The security personnel also recovered two double barrel gun, a carbine, live cartridges, among other daily core items, he said.
