Live updates from 2nd T20 between India and South Africa!

Latest Updates

  • South Africa crushed listeless India in the 2nd T20 by six wickets in Cuttack to seal the three-match series. Poor batting display by the Indian team cost them the match. A couple of run-outs and poor shot selection by Indian batsmen were the major reasons India failed to put up a formidable total on board after being invited to bat first. Even though Indian bowlers made early in-roads, the paltry total of 92 runs was never a threat for the visitors and they achieved the target quite convincingly. But the most disappointing part was the behaviour of the angry crowd, who threw bottles onto the ground, due to which the match was being stopped twice.

  • Over 17.1  || Score 96/4

    JP Duminy hit a boundary off Raina as South Africa beat India in the second T20 by six wickets with 17 balls to spare. And by winning the match, the visitors have taken an unassailable lead of 2-0 in the three match series.

  • Over 16 || Score 83/4

    It seems that India have thrown in the towel as they are giving easy singles. Africa are ten runs away to win the match and seal the series.

  • Over 15 || Score 79/4

    Axar to continue. Behardien walked back to the pavilion as Axar picked up his first wicket. But now its too late for India. David Miller is the new man and he finally gets a chance to bat.

    F Behardien lbw b Patel 11 (18b)

  • Over 14 || Score 74/3

    Match resumed once again. Raina to bowl his 2nd over. And the offie conceded four runs in it. Now it's just a formality for Saffers to win the match as they need 19 runs off 36 balls.

  • Match has been suspended once again for some time as spectators have trouble again. More bottles being thrown onto the ground, this time from two different stands.

  • Over 13 || Score 70/3

    Axar Patel and Suresh Raina are bowling in tandem. With every passing over, the match is slipping away from India's reach. The visitors need mere 23 runs to win the match and seal the series.

  • Good news match is set to start again after a halt of around 15 to 20 minutes.

  • If the match is called off now due to the ill-mannered behaviour of the spectators South Africa would be declared winners as they are ahead by 17 runs on the D/L par score.

  • Match has stopped for some time as disappointed spectators have started throwing bottles on the ground. This is shameful act by the cricket fans, who have come to the stadium to support the home team.

  • Over 11 || Score 64/3

    Mohit Sharma with his opening over. India still have an outside chance to win the match and keep the series alive. But the Indian medium pacers are looking ordinary in front of South African batsmen. Mohit leaked seven runs.

  • Over 10 || Score 57/3

    Bhuvi back into the attack. Farhaan Behardien and JP Duminy, who snatched the 1st T20 from India, are once again batting together. Four runs from the over.

  • Over 14 || Score 75/7

    India have to take their total past 150 to give there bowlers some thing to fight for. Morkel with his 3rd over. From here first target for the hosts would be to play the entire quota of 20 overs. Two runs from the over.

  • Over 13 || Score 73/7
