The Odisha government today announced ex-gratia of Rs five lakh each for the next of kin of those killed.
The families of the victims hailing from Odisha would get the benefit of ex-gratia of Rs five lakh.

Odisha Police ruled out the involvement of Maoists in the derailment of the Jagdalpur-Bhubaneswar Hirakhand Express.
"There is no evidence regarding the involvement of Maoists. We will inquire into the matter and Railway Safety Commissioner will also probe the matter," Director General of Police K.B. Singh told the media.
