Bilaspur is one of 11 Lok Sabha constituencies in the central Indian state of Chhattisgarh and cast vote in the third phase of the election this year - on April 23. The result will be out on May 23.

Bilaspur registered 64.36 percent voter turnout in 2019, a gain of 1.22 percent. The total number of electors in the constituency is 1875904 while the total voter turnout is 1207297. While in 2014, the constituency registered 63.14 percent voter turnout. The total number of electors in the constituency was 1726687 while the total voter's turnout was 1090231.

In the 2014 Lok Sabha election, BJP's Lakhan Lal Sahu defeated Karuna Shukla, who had joined Congress a year earlier. Changing parties did not change the political fortunes of Atal Bihari Vajpayee's niece as Karuna lost by a margin of 1.76 lakh votes.
