New Delhi: The senior wing girl student who has been accused of attacking a class 1 student in a Lucknow-based school, said that she has been framed.
Blaming the teachers, she said that she and her father had some arguments with them and this can be a reason for framing her.
"There had been some arguments between some teachers, my father and me. I suspect that is a reason I am being framed," the senior student said.
She further claimed that she never met the junior student. A photo of her was produced before him and the school management later informed her that he has identified her.
"The child and I never faced each other. A photo of mine was produced before him. I was told by the school mgmt that he has identified me. I have been with short hair since November but they say he identified me in my old pictures," she added.
She said, "I want the case to be investigated thoroughly and the real culprit be punished. If I am innocent I must be allowed to walk free. I know I am innocent."
Last week, a class 1 student in Lucknow was hit with a sharp weapon allegedly by a senior student. The accused reportedly attacked the class 1 student, Ritik, inside the school washroom with a sharp weapon and fled.
The incident occurred in Bright Land school in Triveninagar area of Aliganj in Lucknow.
What’s even more unfortunate that the school authorities did not even take note of the incident on an immediate basis. They informed the police a day after the incident took place.
After getting the information, police personnel rushed to the school where they sealed the washroom.
The school administration had later said that prime facie it seemed that the attack was carried out by a senior wing girl student.
Soon after the incident, Ritik was rushed to Devki hospital, which referred him to trauma centre for further treatment. The school has claimed that the student is out of danger.
The father of the victim, who works as a peon in the Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court, said that he was informed by the school authorities about his son getting hurt. Therefore, he sent his wife to school, who later discovered that her son was attacked with a sharp object.
School administration official Reena Manas had claimed that the parents were immediately informed about the happening and the student was also rushed to Devaki hospital without any delay. She added that there are 70 CCTV cameras on the school premises and they are being scanned for any clue.
According to her, the student has said that a senior girl student took her to the washroom and attacked him.
