Sharma further added that the plan of making gaushala inside the campus doesn't need permission from the University Grants Commission.
The university's Vice Chancellor BK Kuthiala confirmed the development to India Today and said, "In the new upcoming campus we have around 50 acres of land. Of this around two acres of land is such that it could not be put to any use. So the question was raised before architects. There were several suggestions but one suggestion that we decided to act upon was of starting a 'gaushala'."
