Newborn found dead outside Madhya Pradesh hospital

Shahdol: In a shocking incident, a newborn baby was found dead outside Shahdol district headquarters clinic.

The body came to notice when a pig tried to eat it, but was soon chased away by the locals.

Police officer Arvind Lodi said, "When we reached the spot we saw the body of the infant with bite marks. The investigation is underway".

"The newborn was found lying in an unclaimed condition since long and none came to inquire or complain about it. Many thought it to be a stone from far and did not consider to notice. It`s only after the pig attacked it, the locals noticed it. Soon, they ran and chased the animal away," he said.

Currently, the civil authorities and district hospital management are looking into the matter and assured investigation on it.
