New Delhi: Google had made very tall claims about the security feature of its new Pixel range of smartphones –only to be proved otherwise.
A group of white hat hackers have actually managed to break into the Google smartphones.
These hackers are from the Chinese security software company Qihoo 360.
At the recently held 2016 PwnFest hacking competition in Seoul, the hackers got into Google's new Pixel and Pixel XL smartphone in lees than a minute.
They have also won a cash prize of $120,000 for this.
A similar hacking challenge was launched by Google in September this year.
Google has recently announced 'The Project Zero Prize' contest wherein it is offering two smartphones Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X for hacking.
The goal of this contest is to find a vulnerability or bug chain that achieves remote code execution on multiple Android devices knowing only the devices’ phone number and email address.
