Mobile data war advances; Aircel offers 168GB data for 84 days against Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan offer

New Delhi: As the Reliance Jio barrage continues to lead the telecom industry, its rival operators are racing to attract customers with their new data plans.

Aircel has recently launched two new offers which would provide 2GB data per day and unlimited calls with a validity of 84 days. These plans have been released in order to compete with Jio's Dhan Dhana Dhan offer of Rs 399, which provides same facility as that of Aircel's new data plan along with free SMSs and access to Jio apps suite.

Aircel's prepaid plans are priced at- Rs 419 in the Northeast, Rs 449 in Jammu and Kashmir and Rs 229 for the Jammu and Kashmir circle with fewer benefits.

The Aircel Rs 419 plan provides allowance of 2GB data per day for 84 days which sums up to a total of 168GB data for the time period in Northeast region. Carrying a drawback of providing the data in 2G & 3G speed only, it allows free unlimited calls to any network with this pack.

For the J&K circle, it provides same data and calling perks for Rs 449 pack. Whereas, the Rs 229 plan offers 1GB data per day for 84 days (84GB for 84 days), unlimited local/STD calls restricting to the Aircel network only. For both the plans, the company will provide 2G/3G speed.

Establishing a comaprision between the offers provided by both the telecom companies, Reliance Jio's peculiar benefit is 4G speed. Jio's Dhan Dhana Dhan offer provides 84GB data for 84 days at Rs 399 and 2GB data per day priced at Rs 509 with validity lasting up to 56 days.

Aircel is in process to introduce plan of 84GB data for 84 days for eastern circle of UP as well. Other telecom brands namely Airtel, Vodafone and Idea Cellular are also competing for the mobile data war by offering plans with 84 days validity only with 84GB data as for now.
