New Delhi: Looks like Xiaomi fans in India will not be able to get their hands on the latest Mi 6.
As per a report in India Today, Xiaomi “instead launch something else” that has still not been confirmed. The said phone could be “Mi Mix 2 or it could be Mi Note 2” the report further said.
Xiaomi launched the much anticipated smartphone –the Mi 6 in China last week.
Xiaomi Mi 6 64 GB variant has been priced at CNY 2,499 and 128GB at CNY 2,899.
Speculating the reasons behind keeping Mi 6 out of Indian users, the report says that perhaps the pricing of the phone could be a reason.
Currently, Xiaomi, which crossed the USD 1 billion revenue mark in India last year, is selling mobile handsets through 8,500 multi-brand outlets across the country.
Significantly, the mobile handset maker is getting more than 90 per cent of sales from online platforms like Flipkart, Snapdeal and mi.com.

Xiaomi Mi 6 packs a dual rear camera of 12 MP each with 4K video recording. The phone has 'Portrait mode' which focuses on subject and blur the background. The front camera consist of 8MP for selfie shooters.
The Smartphone features latest Snapdragon 835 octa-core processor and offers 6 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage.
Xiaomi Mi 6 is powered by 3,350 mAh battery.
The phone comes with 5.15 inch full HD display with resolution 1080x1920 pixels.
The smartphone also offer 2×2 dual Wi-Fi technology which increase connectivity and speed.
It has an under-glass Fingerprint sensor at the front.
Xiaomi Mi6 comes with different color variants- black, blue, white and ceramic black.
