OnePlus 5 to be launched today – All you need to know

New Delhi: Chinese phonemaker OnePlus is all set to launch its next flagship smartphone –OnePlus 5 in US on Tuesday.

Confirming the launch, OnePlus has tweeted:

The name OnePlus 5 has been inspired by former NBA player Robert Horry.

OnePlus's Shenzhen office sports two Horry's paintings and his "number five" jersey inspired the smartphone's name.

As of now a lot of details have emerged about the phone. But we are sure there is more than online leaks that the phone has to offer.

Earlier reports said that the phone will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 mobile platform, and the Chinese technology company has partnered with DxO Labs to enhance OnePlus 5 camera experience.

OnePlus 5 is said to be the thinnest flagship smartphone with a fingerprint scanner like no other device available so far.

Meanwhile, Indian fans can rejoice as the phone is set to be launched in the country on Thursday.
