New Delhi: Chinese smartphone maker Oppo unveiled flagship device 'FindX' at an event in Paris. The phone has been priced at 999 euros (over Rs 78,000).

FindX also marks Oppo's entry into the European market.


FindX, which will compete with flagship devices from the stables of players like Apple, Samsung and Huawei, will be launched in the Indian market on July 12 and is expected to be available for sale from August.


Oppo will announce the India pricing closer to the launch of the smartphone in the country.


Oppo has also tied up with sports car maker Lamborghini to launch a special edition smartphone at 1,699 euros for the 512 GB variant with Super VOOC charging technology. This device, however, will be launched only in China and Europe.


Oppo Find X has will be offered in two gradient colors - Bordeaux Red and Glacier Blue.


The 6.42 inches device has a 93.8 screen ratio. It comes with 3D Face Recognition system, front camera, rear dual camera and many intricate sensors. The company claims that Oppo Find X is the first Android smartphone to feature 3D Structured Light Technology.


The phone's rear camera is equipped with a dual-lens module and AI Scene Recognition technology, the phone's camera can identify 800 scenes.


The device is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 coupled with 8 GB RAM, 3730mAh battery and a 256 GB storage.


Oppo, which at present operates in over 30 markets, including India, will enter the European market through operations in France, Italy, Spain and Netherlands.


As per research firm IDC, Oppo ranked third with 7.4 per cent share of India's smartphone shipments after Xiaomi (30.3 per cent) and Samsung (25.1 per cent) in the January-March 2018 quarter.
