New Delhi: Following the huge success of its Redmi phones such as the Redmi 1, Redmi 2 and Redmi 2 Prime, Xiaomi will launch another Redmi smartphone in India on Wednesday (August 3) – the Redmi 3S.
Xiaomi's most budget friendly devices Redmi 2 and Redmi 2 Prime are priced at Rs 5,999 and Rs 6,999 in India on Mi.com. And it is believe that the Redmi 3S will be priced below Rs 10,000 too. (In China, the Redmi 3S is priced at 699 Yuan, which converts aproximately INR 7000.)
For the official event to be held in Delhi, the company had sent out an invite and will broadcast the same too. The Live Broadcast will take place at 12:00 noon.

As per reports, the Redmi 3S features a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) IPS display with a metal unibody design.
It is powered by a octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor clocked at 1.1GHz clubbed with the Adreno 505 GPU and 2GB of RAM. (there is a 3GB RAM variant too)
As for internal memory, the 2GB RAM variant comes with 16GB memory while the 3GB RAM variant comes with a 32GB.
The Redmi 3S sports a 13MP rear camera with PDAF, f/2.0 aperture, HDR mode, 1080p video recording, and LED flash and a 5MP selfie camera with 1080p video recording capability.
The handset is backed by a 4100mAh battery.
