New Delhi: Chinese handset maker Xiaomi is all set to announce its first new product for the year in India on Wednesday.
Xiaomi has set out series of tweets and teaser posts that hint at the launch of Redmi Note 5, touted to be the successor to Redmi Note 4.
Xiaomi has not clearly mentioned which device it will launch today. But the name "redminote5" was spotted in the code of the Mi.com website, leading to speculations on the handset's arrival.

A lot about the Redmi Note 5 has already been leaked online. Based on leaked reports, it seems that the Redmi Note 5 will have an 18:9 aspect ratio with bezel-less design. It may feature a 5.99-inch full-HD+ display, Android 8.0 Oreo-based MIUI 9 build. Under the hood the device may house a Snapdragon 636 processor.

Another teaser release by Xiaomi hints at launch of one more device today. The teaser video just shows a little edge of a mystery device and that doesn’t resemble a smartphone. People are shown looking at a slim device from various angles fuelling speculations on the launch of its Mi TV 4.
