New Delhi: Bollywood's Khiladi Akshay Kumar is one happy man these days. Not only are his films doing great business but his songs too being reprised for new films.
Yes! Recently, there was a strong buzz that 90s popular number 'Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast' from 'Mohra' is being rehashed and used in Abbas-Mustan's upcoming flick 'Machine'.
PTI quotes Abbas of the Abbas-Mustan as saying that Akki is aware of the development and is happy. He said, " Akshay is aware that we are recreating the song and he is okay with it. We need his blessings. He is our 'Khiladi'. He is very happy. He said he will come and launch the song as well."
He said this on the sidelines of the trailer launch.
'Machine' marks the debut of Abbas's son Mustafa Burmawalla and Kiara Advani in the lead. The film is set to release on March 24, 2017. Akki and Raveena's superhit number from 'Mohra' was a chartbuster in those days and it will be interesting to see how the new generation actors feature in it.
"We are yet to shoot for the song. We are very excited. The song shouldn't be compared as it's difficult to get into Akshay Kumar's shoes. It's a small tribute to them," Mustafa said.
The popular 90s track featured Akshay and Raveena Tandon in the lead.
"We would most definitely want to show the song to them. The first people whose acceptance we want is of Raveena Tandon mam and Akshay Kumar sir," Kiara said. The film is set to release on March 24," Mustafa added.
